This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
So, you said you wanted to go to MassArt? For a portfolio, include a good mix of studies from life with the sort of thing you really want to focus on. There's no pressure to decide on a major right away, of course...you don't register for a major until February of your freshman year.
Freshman year = studio foundation, which can be tedious if your high school had a great art program. Some of the teachers are jerks, but others are really great. I guess that's true of any college.
If you're living on-campus your freshman year, definitely go for the Artist's Residence instead of Smith Hall. Way more living space, and it's apartment-style, so you share a living room and kitchen with 3 or 4 other people. Housing isn't guaranteed after freshman year, and there are very few spots for upper classmen, so your best bet for that is to go apartment hunting around March of your freshman year. I just had to go through that...stressful, but I found a place.
I will bother you no more.
